Project 1: Line, rhythm directional pull: John Carter

Project 1

I plan to use line, rhythm and directional pull in the context of a seen from "The Princess of mars" from the "John Carter of mars" book series I have included  a couple of preliminary drawing.

Above is the Completed painting of "John Carter: Battle on Mars." It hadn't come out as I imagined it.They never do. I did Incorporate line rythm and directional pull. For the moon I brushed on some modeling paste and btushed it in swirls. Painted over modeling paste tryng to help the swirls really stand out. In the future I may ppossible turn it into a series. I am very fond of the John Carter of  Mars book series.
